Breaking down Inato’s New Partnership with RealTime eClinical Solutions

Inato recently announced a partnership with RealTime eClinical Solutions. The TLDR:
- The 50+ large networks–representing 2,000 sites–that use RealTime-Devana’s business intelligence platform today can join the Inato platform. They’ll also have preferred access to Inato’s patient pre-screening solution for networks.
- The partnership brings RealTime-Devana’s proven site performance data and Inato’s patient access data together to give sponsors and CROs a comprehensive view of which sites are both qualified and ready to enroll now.
We sat down with Inato’s co-founder and Chief Strategy Officer Liz Beatty to unpack the news and what it means for new and existing Inato users.
What got you excited about a partnership with RealTime eClinical Solutions?
Two things. One, over 50 of the top site networks use RealTime-Devana today, and we were excited to bring these networks to Inato and significantly expand the pool of qualified sites sponsors can choose from. Almost every sponsor we talk to is actively building or expanding their site network strategy, and we want to make it easy for them to evaluate and select those sites alongside the 5,500+ others that already use our platform.
Two, the data element of this partnership really caught my attention. RealTime-Devana has a ton of performance data on sites, including things like enrollment rates, study timelines, and quality outcomes. That, combined with our data on patient access via our AI patient pre-screening tool, is an incredibly powerful combination for sponsors. This will enable study teams to very quickly and accurately zero in on sites that are both proven performers and ready to enroll now.
How does this build on sponsors’ existing data-driven site selection strategies? What additional value will it bring them?
Sponsors have been interested in data-driven site selection for years. But up to this point, their strategies have relied on static historical data, which isn’t necessarily a good indicator of future performance. Now, sponsors want more dynamic, up-to-date information. They don’t just want to know if a site has past experience in asthma; they want to know if that site is actively interested in an asthma trial today, how many eligible and available patients they have right now, and if they can activate quickly.
Through this partnership, we can give sponsors the kind of data they’re craving to help them optimize the sites they select from networks. This will allow them to pick high quality sites that are also ready to hit the ground running, which we expect will mean faster timelines, better enrollment rates, and fewer costly non-performing sites.
What’s the upside for RealTime-Devana users?
For networks using RealTime-Devana, this is an opportunity to put their best foot forward in front of sponsors and get as many of their sites selected as possible. There are two key ingredients to this.
One, when they join the Inato platform, their RealTime TrialAlign site metrics data is displayed on their profile. This means when a network expresses interest in relevant trials, sponsors get really in-depth insight into their qualifications and performance, boosting their confidence in choosing that network’s sites.
Two, networks can also opt in to use Inato AI patient pre-screening. This tool can help sites find, evaluate, and enroll the right patients up to 90% faster compared to manual reviews, but it does more than that, too. Through this partnership, these sites can display their patient access data in the Inato and TrialAlign platforms during feasibility to demonstrate to sponsors that they have the exact right patients for this trial. This type of reliable data is hard for sponsors to come by, and we expect will help networks get more of their sites selected.
Since the beginning, Inato has been focused on community sites. Does this partnership, and the addition of networks to the platform, change their Inato experience?
Community sites have been a core focus of ours since we started out. That hasn’t changed, and their experience won’t change either. If anything, we hope and expect that by improving the sponsor experience and broadening the site selection pool for them, we can actually bring more trials from top sponsors to our platform.
